Changes for spring

We continue to work towards a transfer of ownership for the orchard. After 17 years of growing fruit, Philip & Karen are ready for a change of pace. We want to thank our many faithful customers for your consistent support and trust you will continue to use Riverbend as your source of local fruit.

Have you heard of honeyberries?

We are provincial leaders in the growth and marketing of a new fruit crop known as honeyberry or haskap. Honeyberry or haskap describe fruiting selections of a native species – Lonicera caerula. Through work at the University of Saskatchewan over the last 30 years, we now have a number of exciting cultivars with outstanding fruit.

Did you know that Riverbend Orchards supplies bulk fruit to valued processors in Manitoba? Our partners include Manitoba Maid, Woodengate Cider, Dead Horse Cider, Next Friend Cider, Tall Grass Prairie Bakery, Baltic Brothers Brewing, Trans Canada Brewing. Support these local partners (and farmers too!), when you purchase locally-made fruit products.

CELEBRATING 17 YEARS IN BUSINESS (2009-26): Riverbend Orchards was incorporated in spring of 2009 when Philip and Karen Ronald purchased Linden’s B B Farm, founded by the late Bill Linden and his wife Marie. The Ronald’s and their family have continued the tradition of providing locally-grown fruit for consumers in southern Manitoba.
